Kaseya Quote Manager release notes

The Kaseya Quote Manager (KQM) team is excited to announce the following improvements and/or fixes:

Enhancements

Improved quote to Autotask opportunity mapping

We've enhanced the integration between KQM and Autotask to streamline your quoting workflow and ensure better data synchronization.

This release includes two key improvements:

1. Automatic opportunity pre-selection in KQM

When you initiate a new quote in KQM directly from an existing Autotask opportunity, the relevant Autotask opportunity will now be automatically pre-selected in the KQM quote creation screen.

Why this is useful:

This eliminates the need for manual selection, saving you time and reducing the risk of associating your KQM quote with the wrong Autotask opportunity. It ensures a seamless transition from opportunity management in Autotask to quoting in KQM.

2. Smarter Closed Date sync for Autotask opportunities

KQM now sends the "Closed Date" to Autotask only when the KQM quote status (Won or Declined) is appropriately mapped to a "Closed" opportunity status in Autotask.

Why this is useful:

This improvement ensures more accurate and consistent data flow between KQM and Autotask. It prevents premature or incorrect closed dates from being recorded in Autotask, especially when your status mappings require specific conditions for an opportunity to be considered truly closed (either won or lost). This helps maintain the integrity of your sales pipeline and reporting in Autotask.

Fixes

This release addresses minor bug fixes and improvements to the UI experience. These fixes and improvements include, but are not limited to:

  • Resolved a bug where a synced Autotask product could be incorrectly deleted in Kaseya Quote Manager if one of its associated inventory items was removed. The platform now correctly retains the primary product record even when individual stock items are adjusted.

  • The “Copy Link” option is now available for the View button in sent quote emails when viewed in classic Outlook, making it easier to share quote links.

  • Fixed an issue where the “View Quote” box was not selectable in New Outlook until the original size was shown.

  • Resolved an issue where users could bypass the KaseyaOne login requirement by resetting their password. Users are now always required to authenticate through KaseyaOne when enforced. Refer to KaseyaOne Integration for more information.

  • We have improved the way Kaseya Quote Manager handles product links for items sharing the same Manufacturer Part Number (MPN) in Autotask. The system now automatically removes stale or "ghost" links when a corresponding product is deleted or deactivated in Autotask. This ensures that the "Edit in Autotask" feature always directs you to a valid, active product record.
